Camera obscuraCamera obscura was the world's first camera. It was easy to assemble but you would only see the world upside down.
In our GCSE class we attempted to make a camera obscura and they turned out pretty good. They were really easy and simple to make and didn't take long and they turned out quite well, however the weather wasn't great.

You will need a medium sized tube (preferably cardboard), scissors, sellotape, duck tape, tin foil, grease proof paper and lastly a pin.
Steps: 1. Grab a medium sized cardboard tube, e.g kitchen role holder. Cut around 5cm off of the top. 2. Put the grease proof paper in between the tube and cut off the lid. 3. Sellotape the grease proof paper down and use duck tape to attach the two ends together, but leave the top part open. 4. put in tin foil over the top and use duck tape to stick it down. 5. Use your pin to make a tiny little hole directly in the middle. 6. Make sure that everything is secure and go outside or look through a window to see if it works but it will only work really well if it is a bright day. |
